Why Veritas?
A new study estimates physicians would need 26.7 hours per day to provide the recommended preventive, chronic and acute care to a panel of 2,500 adult patients, including the related documentation and inbox work. Direct Primary Care fixes that.
Insurance companies are trying — and succeeding — to put independent practices out of business. Their objective seems to be “More patients! Faster!” That leads to fractured relationships between provider and patient, frustrated patients, burned-out healthcare workers and higher costs for the whole system.
By removing the insurance industry from the patient–provider relationship, the Direct Primary Care model provides solutions. A patient pays a monthly or annual membership fee to belong to the practice — and Veritas team members work for you, not your insurance company.

Practicing on Cape Cod since 2009. BS in Biology from Providence College, MD from Tulane, and Internal Medicine residency at Boston University/Boston Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident 2008–2009. Dr. Arnold founded Primary Care of Cape Cod in 2018 and started Veritas Direct Care in 2023 to move to the Direct Primary Care model. He believes everyone benefits when health care providers work directly for their patients.

Family Nurse Practitioner at Veritas since 2022. Raised in southern Vermont, summers on Cape Cod. Earned her degrees at UMass Boston and Simmons, then worked in inpatient diabetes management with Yale New Haven Health before returning to primary care. Passionate about preventive care and chronic disease management.

On Cape Cod since 1982 and sees all orthopedic problems at Veritas, with an extensive referral base of surgeons if conservative therapies fail. Colgate, Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Yale-New Haven (general surgery) and UConn (orthopedics). In office for ortho consults on Wednesdays.
RN, BSN, NC-BC · Nurse Coach
Board-certified nurse coach (American Holistic Nurses Association) with 12+ years in primary care. Coaches patients on nutrition, exercise and stress management, working alongside the providers on metabolic health goals.
